Our supervisors and officers are professional, competent, dedicated officers who are meticulously selected and extensively trained. Many of our uniformed personnel have police, federal law enforcement, or military security experience. Meticulous Selection

A judicious and intense screening and selection process allows Southwest Group Protective Services to evaluate and select only the most qualified officer candidates. Our hiring procedures include personal interviews, employment reference checks, comprehensive background investigations, and language skill assessments.

Extensive Training

Not only is Southwest Group Protective Services an innovative security firm, but we are affiliated with one of the largest Texas based training academies licensed by the Department of Public Safety’s Private Security Bureau. The academy not only trains our officers, but with 36 major accounts, they train and support most of the major security services in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex.

With years of training experience based on Client feedback from the academy, Southwest Group Protective Services has formulated a policy for training and development designed for our employees to:

  1. Improve productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of client services by development and better utilization of talents, abilities and potential of employees.
  2. Help employees develop their knowledge, skills and abilities so they might become better qualified to perform the duties of their present jobs and advance to more responsible positions.
  3. Provide for the development of managers and supervisors capable of organizing and developing effective management systems for the accomplishment of each division's goals and objectives.
  4. Prepare employees to deal more effectively with growing social, scientific and economic problems faced by clients by making use of advances in professional and vocational knowledge and technology.

We then formulated our very own sixteen stepped employee training curriculum called AVAST (Added Value, Added Service Training) required by all our employees for career advancement. Unrivaled by any of our competitors, AVAST is tied directly to our officer’s salary and promotion ladder, thus has become very popular. With our training calendar published monthly and available to our clients, this innovative program covers a broad range of topics such as:
